The Lord Is My Confidence

“The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” — Psalm 118:6

Fear often whispers that danger is near, that circumstances are too heavy, or that people hold power over destiny. Yet this verse reminds that the presence of the Lord changes everything. When God stands beside His people, no threat can truly overcome them. His presence is not distant or uncertain—it is a shield, a comfort, and a promise of victory.

Confidence in God does not come from ignoring challenges but from knowing who holds authority over them. Human power is limited, but God’s strength is eternal. When hearts rest in Him, fear loses its grip.

Today is an invitation to walk in courage, not because the path is easy, but because the Lord walks it too. Trust His presence, lean on His promises, and remember that no force on earth can undo what He has secured.

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” — John 10:27–28

Salvation is not a fragile gift that can be lost through weakness or fear. It is a covenant sealed by the blood of Christ, secured by His power, and sustained by His grace. The moment faith is placed in Jesus, a new life begins—one anchored not in human effort but in divine promise.

The security of salvation rests on who God is, not on what people can do. His love does not waver with emotions or circumstances. His hand does not loosen its grip when mistakes are made. The same Savior who called by name is the One who keeps safe forever.

When doubts arise or failures seem overwhelming, remember that salvation is not a temporary shelter—it is an eternal home. The cross was enough, and the resurrection proved it.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the assurance that salvation is secure in You. When doubts come, remind me that Your grace is greater than my weakness. Help me to rest in the confidence that nothing can separate me from Your love.  Lord, thank You for being near. When fear tries to rise, remind me that You are my defender and my peace. Help me to stand firm in faith, knowing that Your presence is greater than any threat. Amen.
